During the British rule, a gun mounted on the peak used to be fired to enable people to adjust their watches and hence the hill derived its name.
  • Municipal garden: It is a famous picnic spot in the town. Ride on a cycle rickshaw to reach this place which is filled with exquisite flowers. This sparkling green emerald is an ideal family visit. An artificial lake created inside the garden adds to its beauty.
  • Kempty falls: One of the most beautiful waterfalls of the north is the Kempty falls located 15 kms from Mussoorie. The gushing water makes for a breath-taking sight. Adults and children take a shower at the foot of the falls to rejuvenate themselves. . The stunning sight of the fall is a treat for the eyes and every photographers delight.
  • Soham Heritage and Art centre: Rich in its heritage, this gallery emphasises on the local Garhwali culture as well as Hinduism. It depicts the cultures and traditions of Uttarakhand.
